Why is it that news organizations are allowed to hover their darn helicopters for periods (longer than an hour sometimes!) over residential neighborhoods? Doesn’t the FAA have any rules, etc that state how long they can actually stay on the scene of a “story?”

Sure, I expect it to be top headline for the global/world/international section, and maybe even front page for our closer neighbors in the world community. But was it front page on like, The Bangkok Times? Links to prove would be very helpful.
